Film Crew Support
Zambia is becoming an increasingly attractive location for wildlife and natural history filmmakers seeking the country’s remarkable array of flora and fauna, indigenous peoples and spectacular landscapes.
Despite vast improvements in infrastructure, much of the country remains remote and locations are challenging, requiring meticulous planning and preparation.
Jeffery & McKeith Safaris has a dedicated mobile outfit offering full location support to film crews, providing the following services:
- Local fixing
- Expert knowledge of the country and region
- Expert guides
- Transport to and from location
- Equipment transport
- Power solutions for media processing
- Full catering services
- Accommodation for up to 10 crew members
The J&M Safaris team has worked with high profile crews, including the BBC Earth teams, the ‘Travel Channel US’ and Discovery/KEO in providing full location support for multi-million dollar productions. The team has experience in different filming techniques and equipment, including time-lapse and 3D shoots to name but a few, and are thus fully aware of the requirements and procedures to ensure film crews maximize their time in the field. Please do contact us for storyboard ideas, local conditions and further information on how we can help you on the ground anywhere in Zambia.
I just wanted to send you a letter of thanks for your fantastic efforts during our BBC Earth filming on the Enchanted Kingdom project. We chose the Busanga Plains because of their beauty and unspoiled state. What we didn’t expect was to have such knowledgeable local help! Working with the two of you and your staff proved to be a real bonus and our time in Kafue was not only successful from the filming perspective but also greatly rewarding on a personal level too.
Having filmed in more than 40 countries around the world I can tell you that the experience we had in Kafue was unprecedented and you guys were really at the heart of it.
